Helping the community is a team sport.

At Creative Homes, giving back in the form of time, money and other resources is embedded into our culture. We believe it is important to give back to the communities that we serve, which is why we partner with Hearts and Hammers of the Twin Cities. Together we help restore and repair homes of senior citizens and the physically disabled. Hearts and Hammers enables deserving homeowners to continue living independently in their own homes by making them weatherproof, safe, and beautiful.

Each year, the Creative Homes team, our trade partners, and our families spend a day together loving on our assigned home and making it new again! We throw ourselves into a meaningful day of painting, landscaping, yard cleaning, and exterior home repairs, knowing it makes a lasting impression on the individuals who call it home. Everyone deserves to have a secure and maintained home, and we are honored to use our expertise to help make that happen.

Summer 2016, we had the pleasure of working on a home in Oakdale, where an elder couple and their young grandson reside, due to unfortunate circumstances. Their home needed a lot of work, upkeep and a great facelift.  Our goal was to leave their home looking and feeling better for the very grateful family.

Fall 2015, we focused on a neighborhood in North Minneapolis, just north of Olson Memorial Parkway. You may remember this was the area most heavily damaged by the 2012 tornado. Although most of the significant damage has been addressed, there are still homes that need exterior repairs and improvements.

In 2014 we performed similar work on a neighborhood in North Minneapolis just east of the Mississippi river. This neighborhood also suffered lasting effects from the 2012 tornado.
