Job Summary

We are seeking a Construction Design / Admin to join our high-energy and growing team! This position plays an integral role on making sure we hit our starts goals.

Duties and Responsibilities

·      Submittal of building permits for each municipality.

·      Forecast permit return times.

·      Designs headers, braced walls, and tall wall systems

·      Discusses changes and corrections with engineers, architects, and contractors prior to and during construction.

·      Process surveys and dirt calculations.

·      Develops and improves standard design specifications and active participation in process improvement.

·      Attend training as required to maintain current knowledge of drafting, design software, building codes and relevant aspects.

·      Process EPO’s.

·      Production administrative responsibilities as needed.

·      Performs other duties as necessary.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

·      Knowledge of residential building practices and processes.

·      Ability to read and understand blueprints and detailed technical drawings.

·      Use a computer or other technical equipment to provide a technically accurate layout.

·      Adhere to local building codes.

·      Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and working knowledge of project management software as in Build Pro.

·      Attention to detail and follow through.

·      Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.

·      Ability to interact with and support other team members.

Education and Experience

·      AutoCAD or equivalent experience preferred. 

·      MiTek Saphire and WeyerCo-Javelin software experience preferred.

·      Experienced in scheduling, ordering, and general construction phases.
